Hi friends,

I arrived back this morning from the Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta, NY.  I opened up for the super amazing KJ Denhert and Gil Parris.  Since this was my first concert out of the Tri-state Metropolitan area, I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect.

I did a little research before the concert and found out that Kj Denhert and I had both previously worked at the Dannon yogurt company.  We worked there at different times, but it was still very amazing to know that Kj went from the corporate world, to being an award winning, super talented, musician.  It encouraged me to know that I too could have a second professional career as a musician.

Gil Parris and his band members were wonderful to watch.  Gil's guitar skills are impressive and his band members are super friendly.  I actually had a wonderful time talking with Gil's bass player Kip the entire weekend.  I was able to pick Kip's brain about his life as a musician and he gave me a lot of great advice.

In fact, he made me write out music charts for him, which really challenged my brain.

All in all, the experience was a fantastic first time away from home, and I hopefully I've made friends for a lifetime.

XOXO Rosie
